The purpose of this tool is to help growers make cost-effective risk-based decisions when implementing food safety practices in their operations. Growers are often faced with an overwhelming number of changes needed to improve food safety. This tool provides a simple method of prioritizing those changes, such that the easiest to implement changes with the greatest food safety impact are identified for action first. Changes that are harder to implement with a lower food safety impact can be implemented later.
